How to find us?

  • There are 2 airport options when flying to Merida.

    1. Cancun International Airport: The benefits of flying into Cancun is that it is usually a direct flight and more flights go there. It’s also a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than flying into Merida airport.  From the airport, you will need to catch a bus into Merida.  You can either purchase your bus tickets in advance online at busbud.com or at the ADO bus kiosk inside the Cancun airport.  Please note that no refunds are given for missed buses due to flight delays. The buses leave almost hourly so it’s quite easy to catch one and it takes approx. 5 hours to get to the Merida Bus Terminal (be sure not to take the bus to Merida – Altabrisa which is a bit further from our location).  The vehicle themselves are comfortable with roomy seats, AC, and a toilette on board.  From the Merida Bus Terminal, it is only about 15 minutes by Car to The Flying Yogi retreat center.

    2. Merida International Airport: The benefit of flying into Merida International is that it is only 15 minutes from The Flying Yogi retreat center by Car.  Because it is a small airport it is more low-key with less lengthy customs lines etc.  You will however have a short layover in either Miami or Mexico City, which are both very busy airports that involve a lot of walking, crowds, and long security lines.  It also costs more to fly into Merida although it does feel more direct.

The 50 hrs teacher training certification at The Flying Yogi is an awesome course. Not only did I learn so much, but I also ended the course 5 lbs lighter and a couple of inches taller. My balance has improved and I’m standing straight up. I feel great. Thank you, Beatrix!

James

Flying Yoga was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It truly was an unforgettable experience to overcome my fear and the journey of my inner strength. Beatrix Montanile is an incredible teacher, she’s the founder of Suspension Yoga. I loved her teaching style – she’s very attentive, encouraging, and supportive. A balanced curriculum of each aerial asanas, breathing, and anatomy with guidance between practice and theory while teaching. Her program was very well structured and well organized. I’m so glad I found this course to exhale my fear and believe in myself. Thank you, Beatrix!
